I can do one better. This one needs fenders and the front V-block on the trailer, and the boat just needs a new hatch made for the center storage bin between the seats. She already has a new transom, new awlgrip paint on the hull, new paint inside on the floor, and is pretty complete throughout. I almost bought her but I can't find anybody to take my HYDRASPORTS, so I had to pass(for now).

Thats a beaut Ferm, what do you know about it? Is that cockpit transom surround original or done by a mariner, never saw one like that before. Can you tell what engine is on it and condition if you know, I like that a lot in case you can't tell

Just a guess but I don't think it is factory

The engine well is factory origanal for 79. Prior to 80 the 23 SEACRAFTS had a HUGE splashwell in them. I REALLY like this boat too, but I can't afford it without selling my HYDRA-SPORTS first, hell the wife liked it alot too. I didn't check the engine over very closely as it had no batteries in it, but it had little to no corrosion and looked nice and clean. I REALLY wish I could sell my current boat as this SEACRAFT and that DUSKY are KILLING me knowing they are out there for these prices.

Ferm what is the engine, what info do you have about it?
Also any idea on the qulity of the transom work?

The engine is a 96 225HP JOHNSON OCEAN RUNNER counter roatater model. It appeared to me though from the little bit I looked at it that it was actually a 200HP powerhead as it looked like small bore carbs. The transom work appeared to have been done pretty nicely although they could have done a little better at fairing the corners in. It was THICK though, I would say close to 4-5 inches thick and SOLID AS A ROCK! He had receopts for $9600 for the transom, paint, and some deck repairs he had done to it. He also said he had the tank pulled and cleaned and re-installed at the same time(about 4-5 years ago), and it's the stock 100 gallon aluminum tank. If my HYDRA-SPORT could find a new home I would have her already, but I just can't wait around another 6 months for my 2 nd boat to sell like my last venture of having 2 nice boats. So far all I have had on the HYDRA-SPORTS is lots of people wanting to trade me, offer me $2K for a turn key rig, and alot of scammers wanting nothing more than my address. CRAIGSLIST is LOADED with thieves now trying to get your address and then they come and steal your stuff when your not home.

Must have, I'm surprised it was on there as long as it was. He started off at $7K and was down to $4500 for a pretty nice semi-restored SEACRAFT 23 cuddy, and it took him almost 3 months to sell it.
