Picked up a pair of Rod Boxes off EBay I will be installing it this weekend. I will post pictures of the mod upon completion ..Trouble is I am worried about the size ..
OVL size is 55-3/4" x 16-1/2" x 4" to 3-1/4" tapered depth
Cut out is 53-7/8" L x 14-5/8"H
My cut out on the hull is 47"L x 15 1/2" H the length I can easily cut out the height is another I really hope I do not have to go with a frame to close it it we see how it pans out.

Those look good.
I just reinstalled one of the factory boxes on my boat and they brittle as hell!
If they have to be removed again I think I'm going to be looking for new ones.

Here we go ,
I did not secure it with screws yet , I also modify it by drilling out two holes on each sides this will allow me to insert extra long rods etc
