I have been thinking all week about Ted Kennedy.

He did not want Mitt Romney to have the chance to appoint a senetor if John Kerry was elected as president so he asked our state to change the law. If it was not for this action Deval Patrick would have appointed someone who is basically a socalist.

Ted also could have resigned as soon as he found out he was terminal. This would have called for an election while he was alive. The Dems would have been lineing up to kiss his ring and get his blessing. There is no way Scott Brown would have had a chance to win one year ago.

So for once in my life I can truely say, "Thank you Teddy"

Agreed Engstrom.:clap:Their underhanded practices came back to bite them in the azz. Now let's see if Wm Galvin tries to delay the certification and swearing in. There shouldn't be. If they could appoint and swear in Niki Tsongas two days after her husband passed away, there should be no reason to delay Scott Browns' swearing in.
The other thing that bothers me just a little; if we Repubs and Independents were able to get this done, why is Deval Patrick sitting in the corner office of the State House? It's high time for voters to commit rather than become complacent.
Once again for Scott Brown for running an excellent campaign.

I think what we have seen the past three months in NJ, Virginia and now the "Very proud to know you" Chussetts Boys shows an awakening of the people and it is about D@mn Time
Now you will see the true Progressive Movement for what it is, it will slink back and wait for another chance to go with their destruction (or as they like to say the Transformation) of America to a socialist entity or they will go full tilt boogy at passing their agenda at any cost and the people be d@mned.
I know many think he is a right winger or many other of the code words used by the progressives to diminish those who oppose their agenda, but if you watch Glenn Beck, or tevo it like I do, you will see everything that is happening explained in detail and with facts. It is quite amazing to watch him.

Anyhow, congrats Mass. you done good, sort of felt like 1776 last night

It was a great statement! This was the first time that when I voted that I actually felt that my vote counted.

I heard even Obama's campaign manager complemented Browns campaign style before the election.

I felt the same way. My vote finally counted here in Mass. Hopefully for a few days we won't be the butt of all the jokes.

Red state - Blue state, what color do they have for plain old common sense? I hope the rest of the nation will be following your lead in November, I know I will. In the mean time, I'll be going down to Norfolk at the end of this month for the Bold Fresh tour. I'll let you know how it was when I get back.

I like that fact that a politician in MAJOR limelight is saying 'independent'...I hope it means an end to this round of so called health Care Reform as it's been cobbled together with backroom and sweetheart deals...we need INSURANCE reform, but not like that...

Time will tell if Brown turns out to be truly independent...or if once he's feeding from the trough he becomes just another status-quo pork chop...

agree with reel, most will tell you what you want to hear to get there, then they start listening to the "handlers" & lobbyist. but i am cautiously optimistic that perhaps the worm has turned.

This whole election was pretty funny. It seems the vote was against Obama care but the guy they voted for was also one of the people who voted for the health reform in Mass. which is way over budget and failing from what I've read.
