add a second 90 and you should be ok, by it self that motor is going to work hard and burn a bunch of fuel for the speed you get

I like the motor, it is light and not too bad on fuel even at WOT. It is a little light on hp for the 20' but it will probably work. Find the right prop and it should plane out just fine, maybe a 13pitch. You will have to use a lot of throttle while cruising but it should work. Best guess on top end is 28 mph. Welcome to the site and post up some numbers when you get it in the water, there are probably others that are equally curious.

i agree spare that would be a nice setup with another 90, one is going to work hard and have a shortened life, plus use more fuel than a 140 or 150 would.

those 90's have gotten in high demand lately(supposable Yamaha is not going to make them after the years over), you can't beat that motor on a light boat, but I don't think its going to be enough for a V

From what I understand yamaha is ending all carbureted 2 strokes after this year. Supposedly they are ramping up production for this last year and after they are gone thats it.:fight:So get em while you still can.
