I have a 1992 V20 with a Yamaha 150 2 stroke outboard. I have never really done anything special to winterize in the past. Can anybody tell me if there is something I should do?

Nice thing is you do not have to do much with an outboard. I have a stern drive and I hate the winterizing. Anyway, when I had an outboard on another boat, I would always change the lower unit gear lube. Then I would hook it up to the flush muffs, get it running at a moderate idle, and spray storage fogging oil into the carbs, basically until it shut down the motor. I always used almost a whole can of the fogging oil. Then just lube stuff and put her away for the winter. Make sure you store it hanging straight down for drainage. Some may recommend running anti-freeze through it.

1 Change lower case oil
2 Stabilized the gas
3 Top off gas tank….However I have heard others say empty gas tank
4 Run engine on muffs for 20 min to get stablelized gas in carbs./motor/// again I have heard others say pull the fuel line and run till she dies,, then empty the tank not sure which is best

5 With motor runing spray fog into all carbs till it stalls use alot
6 Pull each spark plug and spay fog in cycl.
7 Turn motor my hand to spread oil on cycls.
8 Replace plugs
9 Some spray the motor to keep from rusting
10 Lower motor

Hope other out there can share what to do when when it comes to this 10% crapy gas

Is it better to:
Fill the tank
Or Run engine pull the fuel line and run till she dies,, then empty the tank not sure which is best
