Since my SUBURBAN is finished up for the most part, I decided I would get my DAKOTA listed for sale to see if I could get any bites. I listed it Tuesday night about 8, and sold it this morning about 11 for $7750. I really hated seeing her go, but I couldn't afford to keep 2 trucks and I already bought the misses a 06 PONTIAC G6 a few weeks back.

Heres the post where I bought her.

A quick sale and you sold it for $750 more than you paid for it.....:nice:

I did put a set of MICHELIN's on it for about $700 and a few maintence items, but I basically drove it for a year for free less maintence and fuel costs.

An 88 tank should be able to work IIRC. You may have to use the 88 pump module and swap out the sender but it should physically fit. My tank has a pretty bad rust area in the top of it from where the floor board rotted out and layed against the tank.

yeah i just bought a new fuel pump just need the tank now.. and yes the 88 model should be the same.. in 96 they changed it so that the fuel pump was on top the tank instead of on the side like ours is. its the old family jeep that i gave to my 17 year old son. he has basically stripped the interior because the carpet was moldy from the windshield leaking and it sat up. Sitting up with bad gas in the tank caused the tank to rust and the fuel pump to be unsalvagable. The cheapest i have been able to find a tank has been about $150 but i am still looking.
