How many of you have done radar arches on your V-20 and who did them for you?
What material? Aluminum/stainless and why?

Any pictures? If so--please post them.

I want to have one built so I can mount outriggers on it along with rocket launchers/lights and of course--a Radar.

Thanks

Here's some, a couple of local guys did. Might give you some ideas.
I especially like the arch/Bimini combo!

I like the idea on a cuddy, aluminum is most common around here. don't think its the best idea on a cc as you lose a lot of the fishing manuverability the cc gives you.

I have the stand up top and enclosure as we fish year round--even in the rain and bad weather--so over the top with the arch. Wondering if anyone has put one on a V-20 like mine.

I appreciatte the direction on the arch's--looking for one installed on a V-20--to see what was done for placement and design on this boat.

I have seen many arches on line--just want to see one on our boats

Thanks

I love the full canvas. That would pay off huge in the winter in Florida. Although It might embarrass you at the dock in a gale. T-tops catch a lot of wind too.
I love your boat and the new HO. What type of activities do you do that you would use a radar? I understand it is a nice accessory for weather and navigation but do you intend to use it to find birds for fishing or do you have another reason?

Lots of fog up in the northwest in early spring and late fall.

Running offshore 50 miles or so and even fishing close to shore--I like seeing what is hiding in the fog.

I had radar on my 33 Penn Yan sportfisher with all the other goodies and LOVED it.

I have the full enclosure just like yours. Came with the boat in 1991 from the factory.

Here's a couple pics of mine. Ordered it from Atlantic Towers up in Barnaget,NJ several yrs ago when they ran a special in the Saltwater sportsman for $1050.00. It came as a kit with 4 rod holders installed but added 2 more later on. Was very easy to install with help and even came with a VHS tape(thats how long ago it was) for instructions.

I am thinking mine might have to go a bit further forward--or is your fuel fill right in front of the foward mount?? That is great!! Exactley what I am looking for---I was starting to think I was the only one doing this on a V-20.
