thats the perfect caption for that picture. Those are two guys that I work with. They were trying to figure out how to get the boat out from under the dock and upright. I took more step by step pics as we righted it. I will post them tonight.

cool....I was trying to guess how you guys were going to do it....In my job we have to rig alot of big things on land but the water makes it a diifferent animal all together. Was trying to figure out how to use the dock to lift/pull off of....didnt occur to me to go the shore across the water....I guess thats why you guys get the big bucks!

when we first got there(the first pic with the guy pointing). the next door neighbor came out and I told him what our intentions were to right the boat. He flat out refused us use of his bulkhead. So we waited a while for him to go back in the house. Then we snuck over there and did what we had to do anyway.:sly:

In your business, do you see a difference between the number of boats that TURTLE when docked bow "out" rather than bow "in"...?...there seems to be a pattern in the your pics

I think its the outboard boats that do that more because of the higher center of gravity. I cant think of any sterndrive or inboard powered boats that have done that. Other that capsizing while underway.

Yeah...that makes sense too as the in-drives generally have full transoms as well...

I like the second set of pics of the red boat and where everything else sank except the anchor.

That was a really good one. That was right off convention hall in Asbury Park. It was a twin sterndrive boat. After hitting a submerged object they broke the gimbal housing and began taking on water. Ocean salvages are much more challenging bacause of the deeper water and lack of docks or pilings to pick from. We ended up using air bags to raise it. It was really cool. I have a short video of our first attempt of lifting it but part of the deck pulled off and she went back down. If I can figure out how to post it I will.
