I saw my first conterfeit bill to day. I was paying for a couple of air filters at a local hardware store and payed with a 10 dollar bill. The old lady marked it with the pen and almost pissed her pants. I watched her do it and thought "oh sh!t"

She turned to me and gave me a look like I was gonna kill her and then radioed the owner who turned out to know me. He checked it with a light and couldn't find the metallic strip. He said he was supposed to call the police but just told me to take it home.

I was shocked to find out he gets at least a couple a week, mostly 5 dollar bills!!??!!

I took it home and the more I look at it the more you can tell how fake it is,,,,,I mean real fake! The ink is off, the color is off and the paper it self is like printer paper with no color threads.

He seemed so calm about it but honestly I think I need to let the law know! I'll try to scan it at work and post the pic.

Talk to me...........................:head:

wow. interesting....its probably so much more common than we know....I guess the law should know about it but at the same time it would make a great conversation starter "hey you ever see this fake $10 bill I got once".

Do you remember where you got it from?

I know I'm not much help

I see them on occasion, mostly 20's though. The cops busted a mexican group printing 5's and dumping them where the wifey works.

Go home with it and make a thousand copies and send me some. In another year they will be worth about the same anyhow

You think it will take an entire year?

Not if some people in charge now get their way, in that regard the whitehouse just came out yesterday with their updated deficit predictions, 2.9 trillion deficit this year, up from their original estimate of 1.4 trillion.
Might as well print it up man, everyone else is doing it
