So, are you going to take the Ferry from Lewes to Cape May on your way back?
Just becasue HAMMER left Lewes, doesn't mean the rest of us left as well.
I still hang out there on weekends.

Hey Guys, What type of adult beverage(s) does Willy and the Misses like? I'd like to hand them one as soon as they put their foot in the door. Any of you guys are welcome to come stay here, me and the Misses don't mind friends staying, and besides how can you pass up a free place to stay this close to the outer banks!!!!!!

Spent a few days on the outer banks in June. Went to visit a friend who rented a house north of Corolla. 8 miles up the beach after the paved road ends. Access by 4WD only. I'm ready to go back.

Hey Garage, just found this post from Willy on thread called "boat drinks." Maybe he would like one after the long drive:
summer time drink of choice (after boating) is the classic Sundowner.
Made with either old original gin Plymouth, which is still made in the same wooden vats used for hundreds of years in the same town and same family.
A close second and almost indistinguishable is the original Bombay Gin.
The classic sundowner is made with a couple of rocks and a squezze of lime and either of the above. The classic drink made on safari in africa to this day.
I being a little more civilized prefer a splash of tonic.
If I am somewhere where it available a good mojito will always be my first choice.

Here's another post from Willy in a thread called "grits" strangely enough. Heck, apparently Willy likes anything!! Hope you guys have fun.
Ah Ezra, I know yee well !!
Ezra is good, strong stuff. It is the same stuff as Heaven Hill you know, kept a little stronger and aged longer. I like it.
But usually I drink my bourbon straight up or probably 50% of time on the rocks so I tend to go for the ones with strong bourbon smoothness and not so much bite.
I found that Evan gives you a good sipping whiskey at a very reasonable price with those attributes. If I am in a cigar mode or having it with friends who will drink it the same way and appreciate it I brake out the Makers Mark, there are a couple of others I like to but for bourbons thats how I roll.
Now any discussion on Scotch!!

Yes, Mojito! Love 'em. Best recipe I've found is on the Bacardi web site. Have some mint (or as we call it the "Mojito tree") growing in a pot in the backyard. Always ready!

Well guys Willie and the Misses left this morning around 6:30am to head up the coast to a family gettogether.
They are a really nice couple (for being yankees; ha ha) only kidding!
Mrs Willie is a hottie for all your guys who have never had the pleasure to meet her:love:.
We had a nice visit with them and hope they can come back (well at least mrs Willie can). Only kidding again.
I'll post some pics later but right now I just wanted let everyone know that all my belonging are safe, I took my fillet knife and cut his "CARPET BAG" to pieces so he couldn't load them up like his ancestors probably did, thanks for the idea REEL.:haha:
I'll post more info and PICS of Willie's visit later.

Well gents just had a great time traveling around with the CEO, got to see a little of North Myrtle Beach, very nice for a vacation on the beach,

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/bill_schultz/IMGP1112.jpg
But we had the good sense to leave our kids there for a vacation with our friends and head north.
Stopped in on Skools (Todd) stomping grounds, Emerald Isle area and we both liked that a lot, pretty country and a boaters paradise. On the phone with Skools while we were there and had lunch at one of his spots. Best lunch we had for a long time.
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/bill_schultz/IMGP1114.jpg
Nice views of the area and snapped a shot of what sat below us while we relaxed and ate.

Took the Ferry across part of Pamlico Sound, which is really pretty country, an area that the CEO and I are going to go back to for sure to check out with more time, the New bern, Oriental area

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f138/bill_schultz/IMGP1121.jpg
Then we headed up to the best part of our trip, to see Lee and his great lady Sandy, folks these are very nice people. The CEO and Sandy hit it off right away, and Lee? what can I say. Any one who meets you in the driveway with two liter size Mojitos as you pull up has got his sh!t together in my book LOL.
Anyhow Lee has got him a set up there that is gorgeous. His house, that he built is impeccable, and the setting is fantastic.

His name is Tom and he and his wife are fine people we had a blast with. took a tour of his set up and like Lee's it is sweet.

So we finally left on Saturday, had to attend a birthday party on the beach in Lavalette NJ.
It was a great trip, met some very fine folks, hooked up Ozzie to Lee via phone while down there and we are going to do a striper get together this fall hopefully.
And to Dave (Spareparts) and Ozzie I have this message, yes I do know the difference between a Yankee and a Dam Yankee.
I also know what fine people are when I meet them and I just had the pleasure of the company some very fine people.
Thanks Lee and Sandy for your great southern hospitality. And you know where your next trip is, right.

Oz, if they are thick the thing to do is get over the schools and cast/jig for the fish with bucktail jigs w/trailers. Also mojos on the bottom work well. If the fish are spread out we put out the stretch 30 plugs (spread of 5) and go huntin. No live baiting for us, but I suppose if you could catch some pogies live bait would work. What a lot of people are doing is the umbrella rigs with the soft shad bodies in chartreuse with a mojo supply the weight at the bottom. That and tandem rigs will catch 2 or more striped ones at one time! "Meat fishing" LOL

Yep Blue all you said above is what I use plus some other things. I have a couple of poles (Mr. Shortie and his evil cousin "The Bastard") who catch 85% of the fish that get caught off my boat. I do another trick butttttttttt I'll hold that one back for the people who fish in my boat.
Can't give out all my secrets
I figure if I come back with no fish and I tried everything in my tackle box then they weren't going to bite.

Nope C-4 is my friend, I don't use eels much, I have better luck with 2 other baits but you have to match 1 of them to poles, they dont work as well on some poles as others.
But the magic is in the cousins "Mr Shortie" and "The Bastard".
It took me about 15yrs to find out what to purt on these 2 poles and that includes the reels also with the bait.
Keep guessing Blue, I'm as tight lipped as trying to get the info out of
"Mr Shortie" and "The Bastard".
