this being my first summer in 45 years without a boat has already been the longest summer ever. dont get me wrong, my wife took a job at a very exclusive daycamp so my kids would be able to go for free. we would never have been able to afford this place otherwise. ($6,500. per kid).
for that reason i took a job with weekends off for the summer. and though i hate boating on the weekends (its like a parking lot out there) i still long for the spray of the salt whacking me in the face.
i've also been working as much o/t as i can to insure that i have something to fish from next summer. i thought about getting a kayak just to get out on the water but the one i was looking at is very expensive (pungo 120). also, i just bought a racing bicycle that broke the bank. (i've always loved riding and do it as much as possible).
well, that being said, (just venting here) i'm catching up on some work around the house which makes the boss happy. and also spending alot of time in the garage.
catch 'em up boys. cause this sucks.

Charlie, I know the feeling somewhat.

When my boat was out of commission for steering issues I got a ton of work done around the house that would have never gotten done otherwise. Every cloud has a silver lining, in some way shape or form.

y'know, i've never been much of a surf fisherman. may give it a go during the fall run. cant believe how long the summer feels without a boat. i've never done this before.

I cannot believe how fast the summer is going by with a boat I never get to use! With all my 3 kids activities on the weekend, I have been out a grand total of once this summer.
