Look at those sweet rod boxes.......is that a stick on laminate on the back of the original plastic boxes? the black trim and holders are pretty sweet too

Have gone to Jordan Lake a few times.PLanning a trip to the outer banks next week. Cant Wait !!!Thank for compliment.Yes the rod boxes are designed with stick on laminates anchored with some additional gorilla glue.Figured it wouldnt hurt to see how long it would hold up.Boat stays covered so I dont forsee them being a problem.I also took all the teak wood out and sanded it down and stained it with a red oak outdoor porch stain, than finished it with a clear coat water sealer. Thanks for the compliments all !!!!

We just moved here to Cary in April. Only been on Jordan Lake so far. What is Kerr lake like? How's the fising? I am taking it to the Albemarle Sound next week for 5 days in Roper, NC.

Looks great Kevdon. I really like the color scheme. I have similar seats on each side of my engine box. Looks like you have raised yours somehow though. What did you do?

Kevdon,

Boat looks real good. You can see that you put a lot of time and effort into it. Keep up the good work.

When seats came in order the base on the jump seats was about 1 inch too wide to fit between the engine cover and sides. So what I did was cut some 4X4 treated lumber about 4 inches short of actual base width and centered them under seats. They actually worked out great. It keeps all the seats at the same level and also insures the actual vinyl bases stay off the floor and out of harms way.Hope this hepled. Thanks !!!

My seats fit perfectly on each side of my motor box. They are just a little lower in height than I would like. They fit so well, however, that there is enough friction that I do not even have them fastened down. That way, I just take them out if the boat is going to be sitting for a while.

I have a bench seat that I use in my V. I don't fasten it down, instead I use a bungy cord to keep it from moving around. I wrapped the legs in vinyl so there wouldn't be metal to glass. I really didn't want to put holes in the back deck. My brother in law was at one time looking at getting a V21. He looked at a few and they all had soft spots in the floor, either where the round inspection hatches weren't sealed well or in at least one case where the rear bench seat was fastened to the floor. I was lucky that the previous owner of my boat replaced the round hatches in the floor and instead of using screws he epoxied them into place making them impenatrable to water. I hope they never need replacing...:zip:
Bottom line just make sure any in-deck fasteners or hatches are sealed well because it doesn't take long for a deck to rot.

My engine, a 3.7L, keeps overheating. Took bottom half of outdrive off to replace water pump. Found a brand new impeller, but small little pieces of a previous impeller had gone up thje water tube. Now must back flush the entire water system from heat-exchanger back for more little pieces od impeller that are blocking water flow. Will let evertyone know what progress I'm making.....
