Hey, I just wanted to let y'all know that I really enjoy all the info on the board here, I'd been lurking for a while, but now I got something to post about. I just bought a '83 V-20 cuddy in Mobile this weekend.

I am friends with Stinky too, and have been fishing on his 18 Sport about 1/2 dozen times. Yes, he is about as goofy in real life :)

Riding in his boat is what convinced me of how dry and smooth riding the steplift hull is.

The boat is still in Mobile, but I'll try and get a few good pics.

Welcome to the site!!
You gonna like the cuddy better than Stinks boat.
We (probably) won't hold it against you for knowing him.
Dang, looks like it's ready to go!

Yup, it's not quite as fishable but I'm not a hardcore fisherman like the Stinkster. We got to take the boat out for a test drive on Mobile Bay and it ran great. First mod is definately going to be some pvc guides for the trailer.

My wife liked riding in the boat alot too! :sun:

I THINK so, because the batteries are located in the back center hatch in front of the motor. That's how the V-20 Fisherman is diagramed in the Wellcraft manual. Is there any way I can find out for sure from Hull ID, etc?

Welcome to the site!!!!

I always thought that the "Fisherman" was the center console model and the "Sportsman" was the Dual console like Lumbers.......but I am often wrong.

Nice lookin boat no matter what its called.
