What's up, all! Just picked up my first V20, its an 82 with a 73 Johnson 115. Found her in Mobile, AL sitting all neglected under an oak tree for the past 2 years...
you can see in the 1st pic where I started to clean her up. Using tub/tile cleaner with bleach, seems to be cleaning up the mildew and dirt really nicely, as seen from the "oh wow, it IS white!". Started on starboard side, worked my way around the top across the gunwale.
2nd pic shows how much can be done in a weekend with nice weather... caught a bit of tan skin, also.
Time to rewire, run new thrtl/shift cables, install all electronics and lights, switches, etc, etc. Lotta work, but she is worth it!

Welcome, that is some big time scrubbing and it is looking real good. I agree looks like all the transom work has already been done. When do you think you might hit the water?

Maiden voyage went without issues other than the 115 was a serious underpower for this hull. Just slapped a 225 on her... I cant wait to see what she will do on open water even with a little junk in her trunk...:nice:

We went out of Ponce Inlet (new smyrna beach for the uninformed), on the water for about 10.5 hours with max distance from shore at about 2-3 miles. Gorgeous day for fishing! Totaled 2 rockfish, 1 sheepshead, 2 Jack Crevalle, and 4 Bonnethead sharks about 30-40 each...

You guys are lucky at 2-3 miles offshore for a fishing trip. Around here we typically run about 20 to 50 miles if we want to catch anything other than sharks and hardhead catfish. Red Snapper fishing starts at 40 miles.

Darn right! I thought about putting one in, even designed a nice new cool one with thick plexi, but after that trip, it was like driving a motorcycle, wind in the face and all...

And as far as going 2-3 miles, that was a maiden! I have a 60gal tank with some reserve, so I plan on going out with the bigger boats soon. Would LOVE to get some big sea-donkeys on the line!

Yeah, my dually doesn't have a windshield either; I like it that way too...
I've never seen a cuddy without one though; I like the way it looks.
