cutting the cap off

i was curious to see if anyone ever cut out a section of their cap off to access stringers and transom. i wanted to do some mods. try to work in a fish box and a live well.

Yes, and no. I cut the rear of my cap off to access the transom and stringers to my 76 V20. Did it "The Old Skool Way". : )

Why not just remove the entire cap so you can gain access to all the stringers at one time. Thats what I did.
