I took the V out for a quick Boating on Lake Fairview in Orlando, Came back to the dock within 45 minutes the trailer is GONE I can't believe this I am so pissed right now words can't explain. I just last weekend installed all new LED"S and side markers, last year new trailer tires, rollers etc.
My V now is left stranded at a Marina at the lake. I pray to god they do not double back and steal the V

That's why I don't use the Public Ramps at Hartwell...I pay thru the nose to launch at a marina, but I know my stuff is gonna be there when I get back...we need to go back to cuttin' off hands and fingers of thieves ... might slow some of this crap down...
Sorry it happened to you...hope you get your trailer back...does your Insurance cover?...

That really stinks. I have never really thought about putting a trailer lock on before, but I am going to get one this weekend after seeing this.

Man! So sorry to hear this... I agree with Reel... Stiffer penalties are what's needed these days. Given the chances they won't get caught and given the fact that even if caught, little to nothing will happen to them, theft is totally worth the risk to these maggots...
Did you file a police report? You may need to if you hope to have your insurance pay out...

Thanks Guys , Lets all learn from this I did , Lock your Hitch & Trailer at all times, There I was standing with my two kids and totally helpless, I beach my V next to the Marina all night, needless to say I did not sleep all night worrying if I will see it this morning thank god all is well.
I did file a police report, unfortunately I have no insurance on the the Trailer my loss, I just purchase a new 2008 double axle with all disc brakes, I am still too bitter about the loss, hopefully it will pass. Since I moved to Florida from NY for security and peace this is my second loss in Florida, the last time it was my laptop from my truck !
I will keep an eye on Ebay and Craigslist hopefully I net the worms..
PS. The new trailer is now insured by Geico

I feel for ya. Thing that bothers me most is that whoever did it has to know how bad they are sticking it to you.
We had this discussion here a couple of years ago and the best piece of advice I heard was to just make your trailer harder to steal than the next guys. Since then I've been using a look on the ball and a cable lock through the wheels on on side.

Just as a word to the wise from someone who did it for a living, when economic times get tough, the sh!t comes out of the cracks. More and more who are those borderline two leggers rather steal than go with out and the junkies and all their bretheren start getting more desparate.
Thefts, burglaries, robberies start going thru the roof in times like this so take the extra precautions you would not have deemed necessary two years ago.

I like the policy of two eyes for an eye.
