Since I bought my V-20 thru this site, I have been considering selling my other two boats... was originally planning for spring advertisement.

A guy posted to the VT craigslist looking for a 15-19' aluminum dual console fishing boat, so I e-mailed him. Here is what I have:

1989 Grumman w/ 70 h.p. VRO Johnson, same vintage, trailer registered and inspected. This is a fishing boat, not perfect.

1993 Key West CC 19'6" w/ 120 h.p. Evinrude, same vintage. In good shape, needs cushions recovered.

He tried to look at both, but so buried under the snow we could only get the tarp open enough to get on the Key West, couldn't really view the Grumman at all or the hull of either.

He offered me $5,000 for both. I said I'd think about it and call him. Here's the kicker, he's from Quebec and with the exchange he will actually pay 27% more. Should I grab it?

I know you guys like pictures so the one I posted is from last April. Now picture the snow all the way up to the gunnels like it is today. That's the Key West to the right. I'll try to find more pictures.

this are is probably the cheapest are to buy a Key West(they are built near here and there are a bunch of them), the asking price for your's would be around $4000, with the market like it is, and the fact you could be using one right now in Charleston, you would be good to get $3500 from it on a good day. I can't say about the Grumman

I'd strike while the iron is hot.

He called me while I was at a party last night, added $500 to the deal. It was too noisy, so I called him back this morning, DONE DEAL!

Good luck with the deal but watch out if he gets "creative" with how he is going to pay. i.e. check for more than purchase amount, Fed-X'd check, etc. On the last few things I have put on CL I have had at least one or two scammers come into the picture. Not only email but in person ones too.

Thanks for the tip(s). Cash is a wonderful thing in this economy! I found out when I bought my last boat that bank checks can be stopped (stop payment). Careful with those, too.

While on the scam subject, be sure to lock down your stuff too. I knew a guy in florida that had his boat for sale and had it stolen out of his driveway in broad daylight by someone who had looked at it previously.
