hi looking for a v20 or 21 ob or io within reasonable distance from wilmington nc . also have a 248 sportsman for sale, had twin io,s they have been removed along with the outdrives, i have owned this boat for over 20 years and it is solid no issues with floors or transom will sell for 500.00 check it out on cregslist wilmington nc thanks denis

I looked too. That looks like a good start for a new 4 stroke and bracket, go for it. Further back in craigslist is a Wellcraft 17 CC that is a scaled down V20. There's a couple pictures, not many of the 17's around anymore. They're a little tippy with that much deadrise and the beam narrowed down to 6' something, but have a great ride on plane and the same entry and flare as the V20.

Holes are open, you lookin at the grass Hammer. Good basis for a project, but I'm not lookin for a project today...

Wow, I almost feel dirty asking, but ... do you have any of the following that you might want to part out?
Cabin Table
Cabin cushions
Sink
Ice box
Wiper motors
Day_em, $500 for the whole thing?

all those parts are still there . wher are you located? make me an offer!! heck between selling the engines and other parts i almost got what i wanted in the first place its a shame to have dismantled it it was a good solid running boat, just to much boat. had it for over 20 years, my wife sugested i cut the top off and make an inground pool out of it !!! difficult but not imposible anyway i need it gone

Dang, I was fooled just like Hammer, coulda sworn that was particle board in the holes.
In ground pool.......now thats a novel idea.

$2000 takes it trailer and all, not sure there is going to be much left on the boat, just picked up a v20 that need most of the stuff thats on the 248 ,get in touch when you drive through nc and look see what you need of whats left

thanks for the response, i also did some research on the web and found a test someone did on 3 new bayliner walkarounds weighing 4400 lbs the 3.0 and the 4cl diesel were at 34.7 mph and the 3.0 outboard was at 44 mph. i figure a v with a 650 lb 3.0 unit it should weigh in at apx 3000 lbs , being optimistic ,38 to 40 mph ?:head:
