Ohhhh man, somebody ought to jump on it... I'm thinking this could be had for 4700...

A 175 is probably just right for these boats, don't ya' think?

That thing is clean! No bottom paint!

I agree with Stink, you can have a full enclosure and a front casting deck!

Indeed! I hope to one day learn to fly fish and these boats offer plenty of room forward and aft for that kind of fishing.

My summer haunts "used" to be the west delta rigs out of Venice during the summer in my old steplift and we'd take the small boat out to penrod slip out of Belle Pass to surf fish for reds and gig flounder at night. Rarely did I make it down to Grand Isle. I fish Golden Meadow during the cooler months. I was down at Grand Isle a couple of weeks ago. I work for LDNR in coastal restoration ans I've got a project on East Grand Terre. Also working with the Mayor in GI on a restoration of the breach in Elmer's Island. Its sad days for the Louisiana coast. Lots of $$ on the way from Washington, but way to little and way to late.

I fish west delta from time to time but I run out of grand isle – the reds where on fire last weekend in the marsh around golden meadow if you are ever in the area let me know I’m always at my camp on the weekends

Last weekend........hmmm. Lets see, T-ball, birthday party, more T-ball. Oh wait, Sunday I picked up my boat so it wasn't all bad. Got the frozen steering cable out yesterday and ordered the entire NFB to go back in. Should arrive mid week and I hope to take her out for a trial run at False River next weekend.

Who the h*ll schedules a make up T-ball game for 6 year olds anyway???

Flounder, you are in the home town of my life long best friend. Fellow named Van Bailey, ever hear of him?
Live in Baton Rouge and has a nice piece of property we visit up at Lake Solitude.
Good people thereabouts, spent some enjoyable time over the years in your neck of the woods.
Ever been to the Alligator Bayou Bar?

Used to go the the Gator bar back in my younger days - it been a while. Don't know Van, sorry.

In a nut shell, many areas in the marsh faired ok from the storms, but many did not. The headlands took a beating and the flooding Rita caused in the west reall messed things up. The salt water was trapped by hwy 82 and just sat there. I took a float plane flight about three weeks after Rita over Cameron and Holly Beach (where they used to be), and the rotten vegetation smell from about 800' up was nasty. Everything is trying to rebound but it will never be the same. The Chandeleur Islands are damn near gone. Its really sad.

Repainting my motot this holiday weekend while waiting on my steering setup to arrive. I need to post some pics.

Things have settled down. You talk about crowded - been to the northshore lately? Covington/Mandeville area is nuts.
