Good luck to him in this market!! All that stuff is worth nothing to anyone but him.
When I look at boats i look at the boat, motor if newer, as most need to be re powered any way, and the trailer.

I will out fit it with stuff that i like any way, we all like what we like. Sounds like he has a ton invested like all of us, and is trying to recoup it.

I will say this I fished for 5 years on a boat just like it, and if i was going to get one i would get the offshore model as the deck is flat from front to back. That step up sucks and makes the fishing area kind of small.

If you get one with a flush deck you lose the berths below, correct?

10-4, also in mid 86 they started putting the stand up head in them and eliminated one of the 1/4 berths anyways. In 87 they added in storage lockers under the captains seat to help use the space where the other berth used to be. And obviously this guy is being optimistic that he can get a bite for that price with OMC's WORST engine EVER built. The 97-99 150/175's have a HORRIBLE reputation in the industry. I wish him luck in this market as ALOT of boats with those engines have sold for $10K less than one with OPTI's.

This one is a cheap project boat. He started off asking $4900 for it with trailer, last time he had a price on it was for $450 for the hull. Unfortunately it needs a transom. I looked at it before he put it up for sale and you could see air between the fiberglass and wood where the sea-drives were mounted.

That is a cheap project. I bet he'd take $275-$300 cash. Good thing I don't live down there, it would be another flower pot in my backyard. Better yet Ferm, You and I could.....wait....Nevermind........... what am I thinkin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it wasn't for the fact that I could see in between the glass and wood I probably would have jumped on it when I seen it. This one here keeps taunting me, but I think he is a bit high on his price with that old power.

I love those offshores, 450hp is a little overkill though.

I doubt you could insure that 248 with twin 225's, they're only rated for twin 150's and are fast enough with that. Most insurance guys I've dealt with wouldn't consider it.
