what do ya'll think of this stuff for the floor in a V. The go fast crowd uses it on some of the custom boats. I don't know how much it cost, just ran accross the idea.

In white, it'd be great!!...a company I used to work for used it in their stairwells and it's great stuff...tough...are you thinking permanent install or cut-to-fit and let it lay?...

Bayliner puts that flooring in its new Discovery line of boats. I saw it at a boat show and thought it looked really good and durable . A company I do work at has it all over its stair wells too and everytime I see it I think about getting some for the boat.

looks good, but it has to be glued down perfect or water going to get under it and rot the floor, or you have to remove it after each trip and let it dry out.

I got the idea from WIldman over on scream and fly, he riggs up new Checkmates, blings them out and sells them thru his dealer ship when he's done with them. He has one posted with that type of flooring( in gray). I don't know about putting it in a V, just thinking about it

If ya glue down, it'll be a beeyutch if ya ever hadda get into yer gas-hatch...and the floor hatches you go into on a regular basis would of course have to be covered too...those cuts would have to be pretty good or it'd get pretty ugly pretty quick...:bat:

yeah, I think its more trouble than its worth. I think on a boat that has less floor area(like a go fast) and no deck hacthes it would probably be pretty good. But not on a V. Just another idea shot to hell

i think if you used it like non-skid and leave generous spaces away from hatched etc it would do allright. you would have to glue it down though in that situation.
