I'm gonna be getting married this summer. Just bought the ring tonight and decided it was time that after 5 1/2 years we might as well get hitched. We don't have an exact date yet, but were shooting for late MAY or early JUNE.

Congratulations! And remember: "Most women marry men like their fathers--which is why the mother cries at the wedding." Seriously, one gets an enormous amount of social validation by using terms like "my wife..." Best of luck.

Thank you fellas. I guess I'll find out soon if what they say is true, if wedding cake really does kill a womans sex drive. And I'm not even close to her father, THANK GOD! Although she is a bit like my mother:nut:.

I sure hope it's right. I figure we have lived together for a year now and haven't killed each other. Might as well make it official and start saving some money on insurance and hopefully taxes.

Well gents, the deed is done. I tied the knot yesterday about 5 PM:sun:. I can say one thing for certain, I WILL NEVER GET MARRIED AGAIN!! Even if this one don't last, I will never put myself through this kind of torture AGAIN! Even the sweetest of brides becomes BRIDEZILLA for that day. At least she is getting back to her old self again today.

Will be married 27 years in August.
After our daughter got married I had a revelation and shared it with my wife.
It went like this:
"You had better watch it from now on, we're even".
Wife's response was "what do you mean"?
"The youngin is out the house, we are EVEN, EQUAL, 50/50"!
There was this instant look of horror on her face.

Marriage is like playing a lotto where you may win big, gain nothing, or loose big. So, if you wan`t to play and take the chance, it`s your call. I do know I sound negative, but it is the truth. You can give your very very best, 150%, but it`s up to the other half to complete the team so it works succesfully, so you have no control on the outcome.
One thing for sure, an agreement ( capitulations ) can later avoid non-deserved pain, and will not interfere with hapiness if there is potential from the two of you.
Man, pardon me for the sad words, but like a good and sincere person, I HAVE to tell you.
I suggest you see "DiCaprio`s" "Revolutionary Road" movie, and really give it a good though.
Anywho, I WISH BOTH OF YOU THE VERY BEST, BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, TONS OF LOVE, and above all, that you both can respect each other`s individuality, so BOTH can be happy in your married, but "individual" lives.

The photographer won't have the pics for 3 weeks, but here's one that somebody else took at the wedding.

After over 6 years, I finally decided to cave in was more like it:head:. I simply ran out of excuses as to why we shouldn't get married. And no matter how nice and sweet a women is, weddings seem to bring out the bridezilla in all of em.
She can always fire up a two stroke to get your attention.
