Congrats, good for you. Five more years and I am out and retired. Hope I get to put my six pack license to good use and not have to strap one of those back on.

thats what I was hoping for to brother, but I am pretty good at finding bad guys so I will give it a shot for awhile and see. I was hoping for a super model talent scout position but nothing opened up, so since number one son finishes college in May and number one princess starts in September with two behind them I may have to chase low crawlers for awhile.

Good Luck Willy, that's why I said I hope I can use my six pack. But reality may set in...and I may have to look into a college police type job. I bunch of the guys I work with go that route. If you get onto any of RI College jobs, your kids get to go to any RI college for free. Not a bad way of beating the tuition. Of course my kid will want to go to some private college and ruin everything. But I got a while to go.
Are you guys in a union?

I am a life member of PBA, but I believe this outfit is FOP. I am a political appointment working for the elected Sheriff, that way it does not interfere with my current pension. So I serve at the desire of the Sheriff and can be let go just as easy. everything is political, especially here in the Peoples Republic of NJ

Here's a few lines for ya willy. I'm sure you've used one or tow of these in the past.

These are actual comments made by 16 Police Officers.
The comments were taken off actual police car videos around the country:

16 'You know, stop lights don't come any redder than the one you just went through.'

15 'Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch after you wear them a while.'

14 'If you take your hands off the car, I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document.'

13 'If you run, you'll only go to jail tired.'

12 'Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second? Because that's the speed of the bullet that'll be chasing you.'

11 'You don't kn ow how fast you were going? I guess that means I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?'

10 'Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh, did I mention that I'm the shift supervisor?'

9 'Warning! You want a warning? O.K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket. '

8 'The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or n ot. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?'

7 'Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey poop.'

6 'Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven.'

5 'In God we trust, all others we run through NCIC.'

4 'How big were those 'two beers' you say you had?'

3 'No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to, but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we can.

2 I'm glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of yours. So you know someone who can post your bail.'

AND THE WINNER IS....

1 'You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here.'

Well after first week already got the first controversy, when they hired me they had to get an opinion for me concerning me being in this position and it not interfering with me being in a law enforcement pension position and already collecting one. Supposedly they were told I was good to go.
Now they have found out that it is a pension eligible position and therefore I may have a problem.
So they are trying to work it out with the state division of pensions, they may have to change my job title or some other alternative, so I gave them two weeks to figure it out, don't want it to interfere with my pension.
So Franco hold that spot in the boat, if these idiots cant get it together I may be on another job search/vacation period.
The job itself is fine, guys I am working with are cool so I hope it works out

Sorry you are having problems Willy.

Here in NC, you can average working 20 hrs/week in a sworn position without affecting your retirement payments, go above that, you have to suspend your retirement.

Cant wait to have your problems.

thanks Randle, hopefully it will work out, I suggested they title me Guru, Lord,Master, Chief Stud, Fishing Master, Sire, and "The Willy" but so far they are holding out for something more mundane.
