T-stat wireing for Merc.

I have a temp gauge from the OMC in my boat, I am sure it will work with Merc ??
what are the wire colors in the harness for it?? If they are in it? I have to look.

Hoping for a late season Cod trip next week?? Motor has no T-Stats, just ordered new ones, want the temp gauge to work.

You need to pull the cowling and see if that MERC has the temp switches or not. The early engines didn't have them, some time in the late 80's they added them in.

this is a 1987, the stats are just a small hole in the motor with two bolts
Like this o0o well more even then that LOL I see no wires at the stats? Were are the switches located??
