Weather forecasters or politicians? It seems both of them can be consistantly wrong at their jobs and not get fired. Why is that?

Well...for the weather forecasters it's the constant change...for the politicians, because nothing ever changes...

My brother in law is a meteorologist for the NWS. If you ask him, for example, if it is going to rain he will look at the sky and answer, "it might".

I bet he makes $100k/year or more.

They ought to have to change jobs just once in a while in order to appreciate their nice jobs.
