It may get a little more interesting. I thought that originally they were calling for the low to move northward toward NC, but now...

A well-defined surface low pressure system centered about 180 miles
southeast of the South Carolina-North Carolina border is moving
slowly westward. Satellite images and surface observations indicate
that the low is still embedded within a frontal zone and has not
yet acquired tropical characteristics. However there is still a
possibility that this system could develop into a subtropical or
tropical cyclone later today. Regardless of whether or not this
occurs...strong winds...coastal flooding...high surf...and
dangerous rip currents will continue along portions of the U.S.
East Coast during the next couple of days.

We'll definitely be staying in the creeks this weekend.

I checked the buoy off Edisto Island (on the interwebs, not in person). Wave height 13.45 feet, period 6 seconds. Maco, your ol' V would've handled that just fine. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j228/4MyDogs/gifs%20and%20smilies/cool.gif

Last week, my wife had suggested that we go to the coast this weekend. I was dissapointed when I found out that I had to work Saturday (my only Saturday off in 3 weeks) for Obama/Biden comming to town, but I guess its just as well with this weather.

Oh, and to make things more interesting, Bush is comming on Tuesday.......let the op plans begin!

Careful reel, your democrat is showin.

I suppose it's all in the perception...I LIKED W when 1st elected...thought we would get more of his dad's kinda governing (boy was I wrong!!)...I judge a politician strictly on his/her performance...nothing to do w/ party affiliation...and he's proven time after time that he can't find his butt w/both hands...

When I cut down a Democrat, it ain't cause my Republican is showin'...for instance...Schumer is an idiot...how's that?...
