on the beach in rehobeth, i saw a small pod of dolphin swim by.
about 20-30 yards off the beach.
black backs with a pretty large dorsal.
never saw their faces.
anybody know what these were?

they come buy all the time around here, but I am not sure which they are? i thought dolphin and porpose where almost the same thing?:head:

porpoise are generally smaller and more stout.
i couldnt see the rest of the body though, so i couldnt make them out.

Porpoise are in fact small dolphin. Very good Chuck. I don't think you're gay. You're a Flake, but not Gay.

Most likely Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin...

They are dolphin.
They come up into the De bay and if you drift,
you can pull up right along side of them
and watch the show.
They will jump up around the boat spin turn and splash.
The adults are about ten feet long.

i dont think so.
they were much darker in color with a high dorsal fin and they were moving pretty slow.

...sometimes when they're not feeding or lookin' for food, they'll cruise along slow...the color, I have no idea...unless they are the spotted dolphin...spotteds are generally darker...

How big were they, could have been pilot whales.

They are dolphin, we watch them go up and down the beach all day long.

I'll bet you been swimmin with those fishies.
