This video probably won't help your fascination with speed boats, maybe it will help push you to get one.

I watched that one, and several others earlier today.
The other night I was watching the one with the Viper running a 150 inline 6 from 1980, my wife heard it and came to the computer area wondering "what in the world is that noise?" She was entertained by the vid.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3_fWI-fbnQ
The kids LOVE watching the fast boat videos.
I wish they would leave the motor sound on more of them instead of heavy metal music.

Being an inboard guy, I used to go to GMperformace parts and listen to the music of a 572/720hp on the dyno. I don't know if its still on their site, but itsounds good! Randleman, have you ever been to the Oak Hollow Drags in High Point? I don't think they have them any more, but it was always a good boat race to go to, for the boats and for the crowds, both good entertainment.

Well, yes and no......I've never paid to get in, but have watched from the road a few times.
They dont have the drag boats anymore but I think they are doing some other type of boat racing over there now.

I keep saying I'm going to make it to the drags at Augusta, seems I always have something going on the week of the race. We used to go to the IOGP race at Augusta, that was a great program, they had them again in 07, but failed to put together a race for 08 with the outboard boats. When I lived in Raleigh, we went to the Tarheel Regatta and watched the apba inboards run, loved the K boats and the Jersey Skiffs
