The title pretty much says it all. I just ordered a LMF-200 with an EP-60R last week so I could measure fuel flow in my HYDRA-SPORT. I got the package in FRIDAY and it had the wrong extension cable in it to hook it up. So I decided to hook it up temporarily to make sure it works and check it out some until I get the new cable. I hook everything up and it won't read the flow sensor, I try everything and still it won't configure the flow sensor. I spend an hour on hold with LOWRANCE this morning just to have them blame it on the dealer that sold it to me saying they must have mispackkaged the kit and pieced it together(even though the kit was still factory sealed). They finally admit that the EP-60 flow sensor is most likely bad and they will ship me another one out, sometime in OCTOBER when the backorder gets filled. LOWRANCE used to make some nice stuff, but there customer service SUCKS! At least the BOE MARINE where I bought the stuff through is helping me out and sending me out another kit so I can get my guage working.

I have a few friends that love them, but one just had a problem like you and is getting the same kind of run around.
I never liked them, I had a fish finder I did not like once before.
I got my Furuno from BOE and got the wrong transducer, called them and it was in the mail next day, didn't even wait to get the wrong one back, and it was over $200!!
Good Luck!

I got my FURUNO from him as well(A FCV-620 with an AIRMAR P-66 transom mount). They were sold out of the LOWRANCE LCX-28C HD combo unit I wanted. I guess now it's a good thing they were sold out. And JIM at BOE already shipped me out another complete kit and just said to send back whatever I don't need, great guy to deal with.

Hopefully after you've used it fir a while , you'll come to like (love?) how good it works and this will be a distant memory...I've had Lowrance units for years and find 'em hard to beat for the money...
...That said, if I's serious saltwater fishin' offshore, I'd have to go w/Furuno...

I've had mine about as long as the boat and love it. A grain of sand will stop the wheel and won't read.
Apparently they have changed the fuel flow sensor, my model is an EP-10. It came in a kit with the LMF-200.

I bought it strictly for fuel flow, and possibly adding a paddle wheel later on for instant MPG. There tech department and overwelming backorder on the fuel probes though is leaving a VERY bad taste in my mouth per say for LOWRANCE right now. This lady I spoke with in technical support didn't understand squat about the NMEA 2000 network, she just wanted to blame the retailer and say he sold me a kit that he put together wrong. I've had LOWRANCE products in the past and liked them, but after NAVICO bought em out it seems that customer support has went down the crapper. This really worries me as MANY electronic manufacturers out there are now owned by NAVICO. I just want to get this thing working, and LOWRANCE was ZERO help.

When I got mine over a year ago, the same thing. Phoned, e-mailed to customer service, as of today I've not recieved a responce.
When Lowrance products work, they are the greatest thing.
When they don't, just buy more parts, you will not get any help from them or the suppliers.

BOE got me another kit in today, and I got it installed this afternoon. This one went hooked right up and configured just like the directions said it should. This one still came with the wrong extension cable, but I found a way to make it fit. So I'm hoping to go out on the lake tommorrow and try out my fuel flow meter and my new FURUNO FCV-620, and if all goes well go out SUNDAY and attend the church of fishing. JIM is a great guy to deal with, and went out of his way to get me up and going when LOWRANCE said I'd have to wait until late OCTOBER.

I STILL HATE LOWRANCE!!!!!!!!!
I went out SUNDAY and actually used my boat offshore. Every wave I hit the fuel flow would drop out for about 2 seconds and then come back on. I hit one big wave on the way in(when some @SSHOLE cut across the channel in front of me) and the EP-60 unconfigured itself and went blank on me. Anybody want a barely used LMF-200 with an Ep-60 fuel flow sensor? I will be ordering a NORTHSTAR F-210 tomorrow from BOE and some time in late OCTOBER I guess LOWRANCE will get me another EP-60 in and I will re-sell this POS.

I have allways had good luck with Lowrance and have been thinking about getting the fuel flow meter.

Are you serious about getting rid of yours. How much do you want for it.

Of course I will have to make sure it is compatible with mine.

Did some research and I dont need the gauge just the flow sensor. I can plug it into my unit and display the data on my GPS screen.

How did it hook right up and configure but still had the wrong cable. What does the cable connect.

Turbo, keep in mind they got 2 different NMEA configs, basically a Red one and a Blue one. Somewhere there was a distinction between the two and somewhere else they are supposed to be the same. My EP-10 has the Blue connectors. The EP-60 has the Red connectors.

I'd be interested in the gauge! :hi:
Want to split it up for me and turbine? How much?

The newer LOWRANCE stuff uses the red or black cables which are universal for the NMEA2000 network. There early stuff used the blue connectors, and do not hook up to the current universal NMEA2000. They sent me a blue cable with the black network connectors, so I had to find a way to get it hooked up without the extension harness(the EP-60 only has a 10' cable on it). I have to wait awhile for a new EP-60 as LOWRANCE is on backorder for them. I'm going to get a NORTHSTAR unit to replace this one as 2 bad ones in a row with the new EP-60's on backorder and MANY reports of failed EP-60 recently worries me about em.

Just got off the phone with JIM, and he is gonna swap me out for a NORTHSTAR. I was calling to order one and he said no problem he would take the LOWRANCE back, I didn't even ask him to take it back either.

I have an Eagle map/sonar combo which is made by Lowrance and after little over two years of use the screen went black. I called customer service and they gave me a tracking number and said to send it in and they would warranty the unit. This unit was over a year past its warranty but they stood behind their product. I even asked the lady and she said the unit should not have broken after just two years and they stand behind their product. They also gave me another 6 months on the unit they sent back.
