Hey guys still looking for my kicker and this one popped up right down the road. Any opinions on these?

Might work ok, I'd say it is on the low end of what you would want for HP.

I'd say its about perfect. Gonna go the same speed with a 9.9 anyway.

I've owned two different mariners, a 4hp and a 30 hp and both did good by me. I think an 8hp would be just about right.

Thanks guys,
I went and checked it out and it only has about 40 hours total on it. It looked shorter when I got there but it measured 29 inches from the mounting clamp to the bottom of the prop. Does that seem short? I wanted to just clamp it on the transom and go if possible.

I'd get an adjustable kicker mount and mount it to that. It looks like a long shaft model to me; should be 20 inches from the top of the clamp to the cavitaion plate above the prop.

i had a 7.5 honda on a mako & it did great. i second the bracket, keeps the motor out of the salt till you need it. just remember to run & flush the kicker often

Shafts are short 15" Long 20" X Long 25" you will need a 20" you go from the mount were it sits on the boat to the first cavitation plate for measure.
