My town is a Pandemonium, but what else is new. We're looking at a late Monday or early Tuesday. What a way for kids to start school on Monday, that is, if they even start.

I wouldn't count on a big blow from FAY, I've been dating her for over 5 years now and no big blow. Just DEVASTATION!:nut:

I know it's not really funny, but my other half's name is FAY(even spelled the same). Now I can call her the natural disaster she really is.

We're flippin' out up here w/the CHANCE Fay MIGHT sit her fat ol' butt over the upstate of SC and drop some of her splendid H20 here...I was on Lake Hartwell last night and this morning and it's almost a place unknown to me...and the word is w/out some serious rain, it could drop to 24" below pool...on a lake w/ nearly 1,000 miles of shoreline, it becomes a whole new place...

C'mon Fay...we're gonna PARTY you come up here:happy:

It looks as if you might get your wish, Reel . . . but you never can tell what a system like that may bring by the time it's been over all that real estate. The latest shows it's almost over Key West (KW Int'l showing winds at 51 knots), but thankfully it's not up to hurricane status. Might be pushing through my area Thursday AM.

Hope you guys south of us are fairing this with no serious problems.
Oh look in the background, my neighbors canopy over the 80CJ just collapsed. I got a popup that I'll donate when they get home.

We've had some squalls move through but nothing serious here so far. It looks like Cape Canaveral sure is getting dumped on.

Been raining here for about 6 or 7 hours now...wind blowin' pretty good...just watching the news..looks like St. Augustine got it pretty bad. They had some footage of what looked like about a 30' sailboat get kicked around like a dingy. We didn't really need the rain either, my yard is a swamp already. Wish the guys up in N. Georgia and S. Car could get all this.

i've got 2 5x8 trailers loaded and ready to go to Tallahassee tomorrow, now i don't know. i really don't want to travel and unload in the rain, but my daughter has a job interview sat & classes start on mon....

looks like its gonna be a water event more than wind

wish it had held off one more day....................

Amazing, it did take a 90* turn to the west as they later predicted.

We did start getting 40mph winds last night around midnight.
This ain't gonna help South Carolina a bit.

I can tell you that we got a boatload of rain yesterday, and it looks like we'll see another inch or two today. Nothing too serious as far as winds, we had a few branches and a lot of leaves down this morning, although this was front page news today:

Dog dazed: Island pooch, badly hurt in storm, stands by his master
http://www.islandpacket.com/news/local/story/586510.html

Of course, it's peanuts compared to what Florida is going through.
