Sounds like your e-mail program has a corrupt file.

You may have to un-install and then re-install.
The reason for the un-install is to wipe out all of the files,
if you re-install right over top, the corrupt file may remain on the computer.

When was the last time you ran the virus scan.
I also have been hearing lately about an e-mail hole,
I don't understand it fully, I just have not had the time to read the article.

If all that don't work, open a g-mail account and have the stuff from the other account forwarded to it. Mine's done that way.

If I'm not mistaken you may be able to double click on the yellow triangle exclamation point thingy and get more details. Then do a google search with that info and any other relavent keywords. You may find where someone reported a similar issue and what was done to resolve it.

Good luck buddy,
Blue

Are you using a web based e-mail or a computer based?
web based would be HOTMAIL or YAHOO mail,
computer based would be LOTUS NOTES or Microsoft Outlook.

If web based, you probably have a virus,
there is a good free scanner at this link:

http://www.pandasecurity.com/activescan/index/

If computer based, it is not that hard to un-install,
usually in the start menu for your program there is an icon for un-installing,
if not, go to the control panel and open "Add or Remove Programs"
a list of all your programs will come up
and give you options for removing.

Sorry, I was away this weekend, spent the time with my son and grand-daughter who were home from California.

It should be on your Ms Office set-up disk.
You can reinstall from there.

One other option is that you have used up your capacity on your e-mail server. I had this problem once and had no indication other than the exclamation point. It turned out that there was a preferences that was set to maintain the message on the server even after it was downloaded to the inbox. So, even though the inbox was cleaned out, all of the old e-mails were still on the server.

Check how your account is set up accordng to instructions here:

Who is the e-mail account with?
